Exchange Migration

Cloudiway supports migration from Exchange Server 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019, and Exchange Online. Both on-premises and hybrid Exchange configurations are fully supported.

Cloudiway migrates emails, calendars, contacts, tasks, notes, inbox rules, folder structures, shared mailboxes, resource mailboxes (rooms and equipment), distribution lists, public folders, and archives. All metadata including dates, read status, and flags are preserved.

Yes. Cloudiway uses delta synchronization technology that allows users to continue working in Exchange throughout the migration. Multiple sync passes capture all changes, and the final cutover is seamless with zero downtime.

Cloudiway automatically maps and recreates permissions in the destination. This includes mailbox delegation, folder sharing, send-as permissions, send-on-behalf permissions, and calendar sharing. User mapping rules can be customized.

Shared mailboxes are fully supported including all permissions and delegation settings. Distribution lists, security groups, and mail-enabled groups are migrated with membership intact. Resource mailboxes for rooms and equipment are handled automatically.

Migration duration depends on data volume and number of mailboxes. With parallel processing, Cloudiway can migrate thousands of mailboxes simultaneously. A typical 50GB mailbox completes in 4-8 hours. Delta sync ensures minimal cutover time.

Yes. Cloudiway uses secure authentication (OAuth 2.0 or service account), encrypts all data in transit with TLS, and is compliant with GDPR, SOC 2, and HIPAA. No email content is stored on Cloudiway servers.

Yes. Cloudiway supports migration from Exchange to Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Contacts). The migration preserves all data with appropriate mapping between Exchange and Google data structures.

Public folder migration is supported. Content can be migrated to Exchange Online public folders, SharePoint, or Microsoft 365 Groups depending on your target architecture and requirements.
