Can the source and target tenants utilize the same domain name?
No, domain names must be different.
What types of data are migrated during a cross-tenant Exchange mailbox migration?
Only user-visible content is migrated: emails, contacts, calendar items, tasks, and notes. Items under any type of legal hold are not migrated, and the source mailbox is deleted after migration
Can mailboxes be moved back to the original tenant after migration?
Yes, but the same preparation steps must be repeated in reverse, updating organization relationships and application IDs accordingly
What happens to the source mailbox after migration?
After a successful migration, the source mailbox is deleted and is no longer accessible or discoverable in the original tenant
Does the migration process disrupt user access?
Disruption is minimal. For OneDrive, users experience only a brief read-only period during migration. For mailboxes, access is switched to the target tenant after migration is complete.
Does Cloudiway migrates SendOnBehalf?
Yes, the native Microsoft tools does not migrate them and Cloudiway re adds this permission.
